Cub Scout Pack 162 · Austin, Texas
Adventures, friendships,
and the great Texas outdoors.
We're a Cub Scout pack for kindergarten through fifth grade families, located in the Great Hills neighborhood, but open to families from all over.
A Year in Pack 162
The big things we look forward to.
These are a few of the major events our pack gets excited about every year.
Pinewood Derby
Pack 162's big race day. Kids design and build their own cars, then send them down the track in front of the whole pack.
How the derby works →Scouting 101
New to Cub Scouts? A primer on how the dens, ranks, and pack year are organized, and what a year in Pack 162 actually looks like.

Scouts during the school day
Showing up for the school.
Pack 162 runs the flag rotation at Caraway Elementary. Scouts raise the flag in the morning and take it down at the end of the day, all through the school year, in rain or shine. They learn how much it matters to be someone people can count on. It's one of the ways we give back to the community, by showing up every day.
What scouts promise →Taking a flag duty slot? Sign in to the pack member site and open Links in the left-hand menu to find the sign-up sheet.
