Popcorn

The popcorn that keeps the pack running.

Pack 162's fall popcorn sale funds nearly everything we do: campouts, awards, and gear. It runs August through October.

Where the money goes

Popcorn is how Pack 162 pays for itself. Alongside pack dues, the money covers campout fees, Pinewood Derby cars and track maintenance, rank advancement awards, and pack equipment.

It also means a scout can earn their own way. Kids who sell are contributing directly to the trips they go on, which is a lesson worth more than the popcorn.

How the sale works

The pack runs the popcorn sale through Trail's End each year from August through October. Scouts can sell three ways: to family and friends, at storefront events scheduled by the pack, and online through their own personalized link, which ships orders straight to the buyer's door.

Scouts earn prizes for selling, both from Trail's End and from Pack 162 itself.

How to support without buying popcorn

You can also contribute directly to the “heroes” donation option, which sends popcorn to U.S. service members. Or share a scout's online sale link with your network.
